Delicious fresh bread, a top performance every day! Every morning, we deliver bread to more than 1,000 supermarkets throughout the Netherlands. What is baked by our bakers at night is ready in stores every morning (even on Sunday). An enormous logistical operation, where our drivers are indispensable.
At 11 locations in the Netherlands, we bake the tastiest bread and sandwiches every day, make convenience products such as sandwiches, sandwiches and wraps and create the most delicious pies and cakes.
1,900 different bread products are baked in the bakeries alone. A large part of it is baked fresh every day and delivered to supermarkets and points of sale throughout the Netherlands before opening hours.
The right offer, in the right place, at the right time. To do that properly, production and logistics must be perfectly aligned. Everything is baked at night and prepared for loading in the morning. And then it has been delivered to more than 1,000 supermarkets throughout the Netherlands. Every day, round all year round. Every morning, around 200 trucks are on the road for this purpose. And successfully. We achieve a delivery rate of more than 99%. But that's a challenge every day, and it's also growing.
Logistics masterpiece In cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht, for example, we are dealing with environmental zones. That's why we have a growing number of electric and hybrid trucks on the road, such as the Scania G320 Plug-in Hybrid and the all-electric Volvo FM Electrics. The partly electric Scanias have a G cab and a standard roof height. They have an electric range of up to 50 kilometers. Just enough to deliver fully electric and zero-emission fresh bread products to our supermarket customers in the region of The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. And when the shops open at 8 a.m. with our fresh bread and pastries on the shelves, we've completed our mission.
